| We can take any historical painting, tintype, CDV, Victorian photo or sketched reference and work with you to re-create the perfect gown for you. We offer mostly historically inspired clothing for theatrical performance, weddings, or other special events. Every person requires a different level of historical accuracy, so be sure to let us know what your needs are. Brides don't care much for historical accuracy, whereas the serious reenactor must adhere to strict clothing guidelines. We're happy to work with both types of clients. Some
of the items shown on our website are historically accurate, while
others are not even close to historically accurate. If you are
new at reenacting, please email us and we will help you with your
quest for historical accuracy and design clothing to meet the
strict requirements associated with Civil War reenacting. |

French style corset. This, our most popular corset, is made of shaped panels with no gussets for comfort and is the quintessential underpinning for all types of historic events, including SASS, NCOWS, NSA and NSSA. There are 16 pieces of 1/4" wide white steel boning used in this corset in addition to the 1/2" wide steel busk. It supports very well and is suitable for tight lacing. The corset body is made of white, 100% cotton brushed twill (coutil) and the bones are encased in proper boning casing. We use two piece grommets for the lacings and for ease in lacing three seperate sets of laces (We can use just one long one if requested). The top can be embellished with eyelet beading with ribbon drawn through it if desired. Measurementsneeded (taken with modern bra): bust around nipple line, waist, length from bust measurement down to waist at center front, back and one side. $130 |
Ashley's Gown - Belle of the Ball This
is one
of our popular wedding/prom/theatrical gowns - this version is pictured,
and priced using modern fabrics and embellishments, and is not a historically
accurate gown, as pictured (although we can make historically accurate
ball gowns). The bodice features light boning, hand finished eyelets
on the back (We can substitute hooks and eyes if you prefer) You do not have to choose colors/sizes when ordering. After you place your order, we will email you a detailed order form to fill out for measurements and color options. |
This gown was commissioned by a Mardi Gras customer, who sent us a sketch of the gown style she desired. It's a combination of several eras of costuming, but the overall "look" was Civil War. This is a purely theatrical design whether you're a Yankee or a Rebel, this gown is unsuitable for reenactments. Offered at this price, in a combination of satin, brocade and laces for $495 |
