Civil War, Victorian Wedding Gowns, Dresses & Accessories
At this time I am selling my own Civil War kit. If you would like to purchase one or all of the following items, please contact me via email with an offer. I have the following items:
One period-correct work dress, made with period correct cotton, gathered front, piped, antique glass buttons, hand-finished with hand-sewn button holes. Here is a photo of the dress, which appeared in the December, 2008 of 'The Gettysburg Companion.'
The measurements are: 34-35" bust
30" waist
40" - waist to hem
One Victorian overbust corset made by 'Originals By Kay,' Measures, fully closed: 26" at bust; 23.5" at waist. This corset was borrowed by National Geographic Television for use in one of their upcoming documentaries on the assassination of Abraham Lincoln and has a stain that does not affect the wearability of the garment.
One corded petticoat, waist: 30"
One period correct chemise within the sizing range of the items listed
Four pair of long stockings
One pair of Fugawee shoes, size 10.5, "The Victoria", worn one weekend. The shoes are like new, with mild scuffing on the soles.
One pair split-crotch drawers, 33" waist and one pair of split-drawers w/30" waist
One hand-knit black wool sontag
One white collar
One homespun plaid slat bonnet and a homespun apron
One bone-handle knife, a bone-handle 3-tine fork
Also included: an unfinished quilted silk bonnet and an unknown age corded calico bonnet
