Panetta Gown

Made of satin and lace (or dupioni and lace) with ribbons and bows, this gown features a fitted bodice in your color choice of satin, embellished with your color choice of lace and bows at the stomacher. The 3/4 sleeve features ruffled lace at the cuff and a two-layered skirt, embellished with more satin bows. The back is bustled, for an elegant draped effect.

18th century Panier (Rococo) Gowns were made famous by Marie Antoinette, Mme. Pompadour and a few other notable women. During the Rococco era, everything was over the top - hairstyles, clothing, and jewels. For these magnificent creations, there is no such thing as "too much." Most of the example gowns on this site were created for theatrical purposes and are not historically accurate - although we can absolutely create a historical reproduction to any level of historical accuracy required.
