Historically accurate peasant attire

The clothing on this page is extremely historically accurate. We've researched these garments exhaustively, and thanks to books like "The Tudor Tailor," and costuming references by Janet Arnold, we're able to bring you top-of-the-line clothing for the most discriminating reenactors and living historians. Please check back often, as this section will continue to grow as we add more garments to the collection. You may purchase the whole package, or purchase each item individually.

Historically accurate Tudor ensemble

This ensemble is a reprocution of the above painting. Our version is pictured with a white linen shift/smock, a linen kirtle, a partlet with a black wool exterior, lined with white linen, white linen apron and detachable linen sleeves.

All extrenally visible stitching is done by hand. All interior seams are done by machine, but finished with historically correct methods.

Eyelets are hand-bound. Sleeves are attached with tiny brass straight pins (sleeves are customizable)

We can customize this ensemble to suit your specifc needs and will work with you to pick colors you desire, and the precise amount of hand finishing you require.

This ensemble, as pictured, using a combination of linens and wools, visible stitching is done by hand, hand-bound eyelets, including smock, kirtle, partlet, apron and sleeves, priced at $650.

This price may be reduced if you do not require any hand sewing, or if you do not require all pieces. Please email us for a price estimate.
