Ready-to-wear gowns

Are you in a rush and don't have time to order a custom-made gown for your special event? Want to elope but don't have time to have the *perfect* wedding gown to be made?

Take a peek at these delicious beauties and see if the measurements match yours! These are sample items. We made them for one reason only: To take pictures of them to show on our website, as examples of what we can do with custom orders.

So rather than filling up our closets with a bunch of gowns, we would prefer to sell them to the public so others may enjoy them.

Prices for these sample gowns are priced MUCH lower than the cost of a custom-made gown, and offer a much more affordable solution to those working on a tight budget. These prices DO NOT reflect what the cost of a custom-made version would be - sample gown prices are dramatically lower than custom prices and therefore cannot be returned or exchanged and we do not offer refunds. They are sold AS-IS.

We do not offer alterations on these gowns. They are sold "as-is" and they usually arrive unhemmed. All alterations will be the responsibility of the buyer.

These gowns are sold on a first-come-first-served basis, meaning that the first person to pay for any item on this page will buy it immediately and it will not be offered to anyone else at these prices ever again. So if you would like to buy it, don't wait - someone else may beat you to it!

We do NOT offer these gowns on a custom-made basis at these prices. These prices are generally LOWER than even the cost of materials, and labor costs are not factored in at all. Please, do not ask us to make these gowns for you at these prices.

Ready-to-wear Civil War era work dresses

There are three dresses available at this time:

Made of 100% Cotton. Machine sewn, with finish work done by hand

Ladies' Civil War Work Dress & Pinner Apron $170
approx. a woman's size 14 (bust 41, waist 33 1/2)
Fitted muslin underbodice, gathered bodice with collar, cartridge pleated skirt, deep hem. Full gathered sleeves with cuffs. All fastners on the work dress are hook and eye. Skirt photographed over hoop (not included) but can be worn over corded or ruffled petticoats instead.

Girl's Work Dress ($75)
approx. a girls size 12, (bust 31), and the waist is about the same-that dress hangs really loosely
Short sleeve cotton dress, lined bodice with snaps at back, drawstring and eyelet trim at neckline (Could add it to sleeves as well if desired). Loose fit at waist, gathered skirt

Child's Work Dress ($65)
about a size 4, (chest 22, waist 20 1/2)
Long sleeve cotton dress, lined bodice, gathered skirt. Snaps all the way up the back for easy dressing/potty visits.

Ready-to-wear Ashley's Gown

Silk Essence and lace, with light boning in the bodice, hand finished eyelets on the back (There are 3 hooks and eyes back there too, just as insurance)

If you'd like a customized Civil War Ball gown, different from the one pictured, just send us a picture or sketch of what you;d like, along with a list of preferred fabrics, and we'll be delighted to give you an estimate. We can make ANY gown as long as you can provide us with a photo or sketch!
