Scottish, Highland Fling, Celtic Clan Tartans & Plaid Renaissance Gown Ensembles

Scottish Gown Packages:
This is a small selection of Scottish/Celtic Renaissance faire packages. All items on this page are made from sturdy cotton and/or twill, satins and/or brocades, and are made using 1/2" capped steel boning, corset-grade two-piece grommets and durable corset-grade cording.

Most of the packages below offer cotton homespun plaid. However, we're pleased to announce that we now offer wool plaid skirts for $200 and 2-yard sashes for $80.

If you don't see what you're looking for, simply email us. We'd be delighted to work with you to meet all of your clothing needs, no matter what level of historical accuracy you require. Many of the packages we offer are strictly for Renaissance Faire or theatrical purposes. However, we have also included several images of what actual clothing looked like during the Renaissance, and we would be happy to create a historically accurate ensemble for you, if that's what you prefer.

Maximum skirt length (waist to floor measurement) possible on cotton skirts is 41". Satin and other fabric skirts may be hemmed at any length.

Forsyth Gown


The less expensive ensemble includes long sleeved short muslin chemise, reversible front lacing cotton velvet, wool, linen or twill, cotton solid colored skirt, and cotton split front homespun plaid overskirt (NOTE: this less expensive skirt will not be doubled to wear around shoulders)

The clan-specific tartan ensemble includes long sleeved short muslin chemise, reversible front lacing cotton velvet, wool, linen or twill, solid colored skirt, and four yards of clan-specific Scottish tartan, which you would belt in half at the waist.
