Scottish, Highland Fling, Celtic Clan Tartans & Plaid Renaissance Gown Ensembles

Scottish Gown Packages:

PLAID AND TARTAN: Most of the packages below offer cotton homespun plaid. Homespun plaid is very different from tartan plaid and tartan is very expensive. You may upgrade any outfit and request tartan skirts for an additional $400. To order a tartan skirt, click here.

If you order the homespun cotton plaid, you will need to choose one from the current options from Joann Fabrics. Please click here for a list of available homespun plaids. If this link doesn't work, email us for a current link.

If you don't see what you're looking for, simply email us. We'd be delighted to work with you to meet all of your clothing needs, no matter what level of historical accuracy you require. Many of the packages we offer are strictly for Renaissance Faire or theatrical purposes. However, we have also included several images of what actual clothing looked like during the Renaissance, and we would be happy to create a historically accurate ensemble for you, if that's what you prefer.

Renaissance Garb from other stations and regions:

Maximum skirt length (waist to floor measurement) possible on cotton skirts is 41". Satin and other fabric skirts may be hemmed at any length.

Forsyth Gown


The less expensive version includes long sleeved short muslin chemise, reversible front lacing twill bodice, cotton solid colored skirt, and cotton split front homespun plaid overskirt (NOTE: this less expensive skirt will not be doubled to wear around shoulders (see fabric choices above))
