But somehow we missed out
Brian's back from an exciting half-day of skydiving, so I just took a shower and will head out for some fabric shopping. While I was in the shower, I had a funny flashback.
My sisters and I tend to break out in random song - it's cool - we all three know all the words to exactly the same songs, so when one starts up, we all join in for the big finish.
On one fine occasion, we started in with a favorite STYX song:
"We lived happily forever, so the story goes, but somehow we missed out on the pot of gold . . . "
Shannon and I stopped the song immediately and looked at Erin quizzically -
"Let's back that one up," Shannon said.
We all three, from the top, sang:
"We lived happily forever, so the story goes. But somehow we missed out on the-"
(Shannon and I stopped singing as Erin scream-sang with joyful energy)
ON THE PARTY BOOOOOAAAAT-
Shannon grabbed me and burst into tears laughing, I crossed my legs to keep from peeing myself.
Sistahs, if anyone missed out on the PARTY BOAT, it sure as hell WASN'T US. ;-) Thanks for the memory!
