Growing pains

Brian's garden is growing beautifully. We harvested the first radishes a few days ago. They had a delicious bite to them and we shared the rest with our neighbors. Brian also harvested a bunch of horseradish this Spring and we enjoyed a tasty treat of shrimp in homemade cocktail sauce. Last night Brian made a batch of strawberry jam. It will last approximately three days before it's entirely consumed.

Elizabeth is growing beautifully. She walks, runs, babbles her own adorable language with hundreds of syllables. She can do sign languarge for: More, Hungry, Eat, Finished. She loves black olives and makes the sign for "more" while she calls to them, "AH-ah! AH-ah! AH-ah!" Her favorite food is baked beans. She refuses most meat. She loves cheese and fruit juice popsicles. Oh, and she also likes those nuggety ice cream bits called "Dibs."

Skye (yeah, we don't mention him as often, since he took a backseat to the kiddo) is growing beautifully wide, since he spends mornings at our neighbors' house eating peanut butter and pancakes. Lucky dog.

Brian has completed most of the drywall upstairs. We still need to add the bathroom and a hallway, but the two front rooms should be done very soon, and we can unpack all the packed clutter looming in the corners of every room. He also started taking karate again.

I'm back to violin lessons. (Violin this time instead of fiddle, only because these lessons are closer). My instructor is alot more strict though, and I haven't practiced at all this week, for utter lack of time and inability to stay awake. She's going to scold me. But I figure it this way: I'm a grownup now. I'm paying for the lessons. If I want to be a screw-up student, it's my choice.

Oh, and there's that other small little thing we've got going on:

We're having another kiddo. (Hence the inability to stay awake!)

OMG!!! *bounce bounce bounce* Heather, I am SOOO HAPPY FOR YOU BOTH! Congratulations!

Congratulations on your growing family Heather!

Congrats! I just thought, "oops, haven't checked in in a long time to see what's going on..." and boy is there somethin goin on;)

That is so great! Congratulations!

Hey! Congrats! I knew you'd do it again! One is great, but two is sheer bliss!

I'm happy for all of you!

Glad it isn't me, though. :o) LOL

Congratulations!! What exciting news. Be well.

Congratulations, Heather, on having a second child! When is the happy date? Best of luck.

OMG! You're having another one! Congrats! I do hope that reading about this one will be as funny as E-baby. Many stiffled giggles in my cube when I should be working and am goofing off instead. :)

congrats!
