The baby's name will definitely be Adam Scot. He's going to be delivered by scheduled C-section sometime at the beginning of February.
What this means for customers: People who have events between January 1 and May 1 will need to order BEFORE I leave for maternity leave. I am currently booked through to December, which means anyone who is planning to order anything other than PEASANT garb (Erin makes those), must order soon. For example - I make all CUSTOM (garments that are not pictured on the website) clothing, all court gowns, and all movie repros. I'll accept a few more orders scheduled for December delivery, and then I won't be able to schedule any gown deliveries from January to May. I can accept orders with delivery dates after May.
I had my 20-week OBGYN appointment today. So far I've gained only 11 pounds, which is EXCELLENT compared to the last time. My doctor is pleased, and says it's a great weight for the halfway mark, and that women should expect to gain a total of 25 pounds, on average. I feel as though I've gained far more than 11 pounds, though. Getting up off the floor after playing with Elizabeth is getting to be difficult. Rolling over in bed is hard too. It won't be long before Brian has to help me roll. Adam has started kicking and moving quite a bit - almost constantly. He is most active in the evening from about 7-10 pm.
Tonight we're looking at a new (to us) minivan and will probably be trading in the Explorer for a Windstar. Brian is also installing new carpet in E-Beth's BRAND NEW BEDROOM tonight! Brian's mom will be arriving from Missouri on Friday, and we're hoping to have the room all set up for her by then (with the exception of the Little Mermaid and tropical fish wall decals). I don't think she will mind though. ;-)
After she heads home, we'll have the new hallway wall to finish off, carpet in the hall and in Brian's office, and to re-attach the upstairs bathroom blumbing. Then we will be FINISHED with the upstairs!
We're moving our bedroom upstairs next to E-Beth's old room (it will be Adam's room by then), because there's a door between the two rooms. Our old bedroom will be turned into the playroom/guest bedroom.
The final renovations will be when we remodel the living room and kitchen - and that will be the big finale. We're not sure if we'll take out a home improvement loan and put an addition on too, or if we'll do it like we've been doing the rest of the house - as we can afford to pay for it, without taking out a loan. Sinc ethe big goal in the Piper homestead is to be debt-free ASAP, I'm betting we'll skip the addition and go for only the remodel.
I think that's it. We're having Mark's Pizza for dinner tonight. I'm a happy camper.
