15 Days

until delivery day! My C-Section scar from Elizabeth is starting to itch. Maybe that's a sign that we're down to the final countdown!

Elizabeth has been spending each day at Colleen's and Brian picks her up on his way home from work. We decided to do this so I would stay off my feet. I miss that kiddo like crazy, am feeling incredible amounts of guilt for not being able to care for her, but in the back of my mind, I understand it's all for Adam right now, and I just have to get through the next two weeks for him.

This week is week 35 - Adam is due to be delivered at week 37, on the 31st. There's always a chance my doctor may decide to deliver him early. My next appointment is tomorrow, and Brian and I learned the last time that it's always a good idea to pack the hospital bag early, so we'll be packing tonight, just in case.

I was going back through my blog when Elizabeth was due to arrive, and I found our "List of Things We've Packed"

WHAT I PACKED FOR ME:
*Ten pair of granny undies (I hear things get messy)
*toothpaste
*new toothbrush
*deodorant
*couple pairs of sweat pants & tent shirts
*fluffy fleecey bathrobe
*pajamas, a few
*girly supplies
*socks
*hairbrush
*back massager

WHAT I PACKED FOR ELIZABETH:
* ten going-home outfits (too many cute choices, I couldn't pick just ONE)
*Four blankets (it might be cold)
*five hats (to match the ten outfits)
*five pairs of itty bitty baby socks (to match the ten outfits)
*Baby suede snow suit (it's just the CUTEST thing!)
*diapers (soooo tiny!)
*car seat

WHAT I PACKED FOR BRIAN:
*$60 in quarters for phones/vending - just in case
*a list of 63 people to call once she is born
*New toothbrush
*deodorant

WHAT BRIAN PACKED:
*One pair boxer shorts
*Two Skydiving magazines
*One rock climbing magazine
*One WIRED magazine
*Cheese and crackers kits
*Peppermint patties
*kickin' MP3 tunes

I've been having EXTREMELY bizarre pregnancy dreams lately. A week ago I had a dream that I gave birth to two dalmation puppies. Everyone was in awe of them and kept talking about how adorable they were, and I kept thinking, "These people are freaking crazy - I just gave birth to PUPPIES and nobody thinks that's weird??"

With Elizabeth, I had a dream I gave birth to a kitten and it ran away a few minutes after being born.

A few nights ago, I had a dream that my entire family (mom, dad, sisters & spouses, Brian and E-Beth) were all being hunted down by zombies. In fact, we were the only non-zombies (nonzbies) left on earth. We were completely surrounded, and of course, we had locked ourselves in a mall.

Eventually we decided that life as humans was pretty sucky when the rest of the world was zombified, so we drank Zombie-ade and became zombies too. However, we became intelligent zombies, and though we were craving BRAINS, BRAINS, we had the ability to function and think clearly, like a nonzbie human. So, instead of wandering the globe in search of brains, the lot of us decided to write a book about what it's like to be a zombie.

I'm not sure who we thought would buy the book, since the rest of the world was filled with illiterate zombies . . . .
